Consultation The initial consultation consists of a questionnaire to assess your current level of health, four point body fat measurement, and a squat assesment. This gives me a chance to get to know you, and for us to discuss what you want to accomplish. From here, we can start to define some reasonable fitness goals that we will work towards together. I uniquely tailor every person's exercise program to fit their needs. This consultation is strictly confidential, and will be kept in your personal file as a beginning reference to look back upon as you progress. Once the assessment is finished, we will schedule your personal training sessions based on your availability. Individual Training In every exercise program, I try to combine stability/balance activities, cardiovascular endurance, strength training, and functional movements. When each of these components are combined and properly executed, your body will transform rapidly and you will start to see the results you are looking for. Each phase will affect your performance in a different way. The stability/balance phase prepares the body for new movements and improves physical coordination. This component is the foundation for all others and an essential building block that will reduce your risk of injury. The cardiovascular endurance component will become vital to conquering the other sections of your exercise program. It allows you to breath easier, have more energy, increase your metabolism and exercise longer. Strength training is the best way to increase your overall strength and burn calories most efficiently. This is due to the combination of your own body movement and the resistance against that movement that leads to additional energy expenditure. The collective efforts that you have put forward will lead to the final phase of your training which is the functional movement training segment. This ties all the other phases together and further enhances your coordination, cardiovascular endurance, and muscular strength, ensuring that you will reach your fitness goals! Athletic Training I train athletes in several types of sports including hockey, softball, and volleyball. These teams range from high school divisions to adult level athletics. Every sport requires unique types of training specifically designed to enhance performance in that sport. For these teams I design innovative, challenging exercise routines to increase agility, balance, and speed of response. The workouts frequently incorporate past game performance to target any team weaknesses. Performing group drills helps to rally team spirit and build a unified, successful team atmosphere. I also train individuals to eliminate personal flaws or instabilities. Nutritional Guidance Exercise is only one portion of what it takes to reach your desired goals. Nutrition must go hand in hand with your workout plan to optimize your results. The theory behind this is that energy intake (calorie consumption) must be less then energy output (calories burned) to lose weight. Following your workout session, we will discuss your dietary needs for the upcoming week. At this point we will plan the proper groceries to have on hand when making meals or snacks. Each meal/snack will be adequately balanced and tailored to match your personal preferences. You will learn how to select healthier foods while at the same time burning more calories and increasing your metabolism. This will help to maximize your success! Group Training Engaging in an exercise program with a friend, relative, significant other, or co-worker is a great way to stay motivated while achieving your own personal fitness goals. Small group dynamics will provide social support, encouragement, and friendly competition. This helps each individual to improve their physical fitness and make each session more enjoyable! Each individuals exercise program will still be customized to their unique needs. Corporate/In-Office Training Imagine how convenient and motivating it would be if you could work out and get in shape while at the office. You could take advantage of exercising before work, during your lunch hour, after work or on any regularly scheduled one hour breaks. And the best part is I come to you! This eliminates excuses about not having a near-by location, opportune timing, or personal assistance. You would have your own personal trainer to tone, shape, and transform your body.
